White Plains, NY – Yesterday, March 30, a labor contract was secured for approximately 55 security officers at PepsiCo’s headquarters in Purchase and a location in Valhalla. 32BJ SEIU settled the contract with AGB Investigative Services following weeks of organizing, petitioning and leafleting at the Pepsico sites. The new contract protects workers’ wages and benefits, including employer-paid comprehensive healthcare.
The officers had been without a contract since January when AGB took over the PepsiCo security contract and as a result had lost their health insurance. Security officers at the locations had been unionized with 32BJ SEIU, the largest security officer union on the East Coast, since 2019.
“Workers fought and in the end their sweat and grit protected vital labor standards for security officers in Westchester! We are thrilled that AGB agreed to sign a contract that maintains workers’ employer-paid healthcare, quality wages and other benefits, and which upholds industry standards,” said 32BJ SEIU Executive Vice President and Director of the Hudson Valley District Shirley Aldebol.
