New York, N.Y. — Following the June 28th New York State Primary, 32BJ SEIU, the largest property services union in the country, congratulated several candidates endorsed by the union on their primary election night wins, including Governor Kathy Hochul, Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado and an overwhelming majority of the union’s huge slate of endorsed Assemblymembers. Candidates endorsed by 32BJ SEIU underwent a screening process during which members had the opportunity to voice their concerns regarding NYS policy.
32BJ SEIU President Kyle Bragg said:
“Each of these candidates won because they have proven they will fight for working New Yorkers in Albany. Every victory is special, but Governor Hochul came one step closer to making history as our state’s first female governor less than a week after the Supreme Court overturned a woman’s right to choose imbues her win with a unique significance. At a time when the cost of living is rising, our public health crisis is persisting and fundamental rights for women and others are under assault, we will need leaders like Governor Hochul and LG Delgado in our state capital who are committed to a worker-led recovery. Congratulations to every one of these candidates on their hard-fought victories.”
