East Rutherford, NJ— Contracted cleaners at the Metropolitan Center which recently sold for close to $109 million and where major tenants include: Public Relations Firm MWW+, AEGIS, Hudson News and Michael Kors will be joined TOMORROW at 3PM by local elected officials, community allies and union members to protest job losses and anti-union behavior, as well as, the impact this has on the local communities of Bergen County.
After as much as 14 years of service, workers at One Meadowlands Plaza in East Rutherford were let go from their jobs when the new building owner, Vision Properties, hired an irresponsible cleaning contractor, Eastern Essential Services who refused to hire back the workers and is now being investigated by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
