The following statement can be attributed to Héctor Figueroa, President of 32BJ SEIU, one of the largest unions representing immigrant workers in the country.
“The Supreme Court decision upholding the Muslim Ban is an affront to American values. The Muslim Ban represents the worst impulses of an administration bent on pursuing polices to appease white nationalists at all costs. This ban, primarily on Muslims and people of color, does not make us safer. Instead, it puts our democracy in danger and scapegoats immigrants and their families.”
