NEW BRITAIN, Conn – Members of 32BJ SEIU, the nation’s largest property services union, have voted to endorse State Senator Terry Gerratana in New Britain for the Democratic Primary on August 9 — a vote they will support with member-to-member canvassing work through next Tuesday’s primary.
“Through her decade in the General Assembly and now as three-term Senator, Terry Gerratana has always supported the working men and women of her lifelong home, New Britain,” said Juan Hernandez, District Leader of 32BJ SEIU. “She helped bring better public transportation to New Britain, shepherded major legislation to curb opioid addiction, supported instate tuition for undocumented immigrant students raised in Connecticut, and steadfastly supports an increase in the state’s minimum wage to $15 an hour. These are policies that our members wholeheartedly support, and her re-election will continue to benefit the diverse working men and women of New Britain and Connecticut.”
