32BJ SEIU Applauds Automatic Voter Registration Passage in Senate

The following statement is attributable to Kyle Bragg, President of 32BJ SEIU:

“On behalf of our 175,000 members, our union applauds the New York State Senate for taking this important step to strengthen our democracy by approving Automatic Voter Registration. This much-needed reform will help New Yorkers make their voices heard at the ballot box at a time when voting rights are in peril across the country. Removing barriers to voting puts power in the hands of the people to elect leaders that care about the struggles of working families. The outcome of the 2020 election and the future of our nation depend on it.”

With 175,000 members in eleven states and Washington, D.C., including 85,000 in New York, 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
