Union representing 2,000 Long Island workers also endorses 16 candidates in Nassau and Suffolk County races
NEW YORK — 32BJ SEIU, the largest property service union in the country, including about 2,000 members who live and work in Long Island, announced today that its members endorsed Steve Bellone for Suffolk County Executive, and Madeline Singas for Nassau County District Attorney.
“Steve Bellone has been a strong advocate for immigrants, especially TPS holders, in the county, and fought hard to elect Democratic state senators who are bringing home results for Long Island” said Lenore Friedlaender, assistant to the president of 32BJ SEIU. “Madeline Singas has been a strong supporter of important criminal justice reform measures. Both are proven fighters, and we look forward to working with them to enhance the well-being of working families in Long Island.”
The union’s members endorsed Bellone, Singas and 16 other incumbent candidates.
