NEW YORK—32BJ members today announced their endorsement of Ali Boak for New York State Senate as part of their push to win back a Democratic majority in Albany.
Ali Boak is the Democratic nominee running to represent New York’s 40th Senate District, encompassing Westchester and the Hudson Valley. A dedicated progressive activist who’s also been endorsed by Emily’s List, Eleanor’s Legacy, and Fight for Children’s PAC, she has served on the Pound Ridge Town Board.
The union also announced endorsements for John De Vito for New York’s 3rd Senate District, Shaun Francis for Senate District 43, Leslie Danks Burke for District 58 and Amber Small for District 60.
“32BJ members are supporting progressive candidates with fresh energy to take on issues that affect working people, low-income New Yorkers, students, immigrants and everyone fighting for a brighter future in New York,” said 32BJ President Hector Figueroa. “We feel confident we can take back the Senate in November.”
With 155,000 members in eleven states and Washington, D.C., including 80,000 in New York City, Long Island and the Hudson Valley, 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
