Victory for Airport Workers at City Hall

The following statement on Philadelphia International Airport’s lease with American Airlines can be attributed to Gabe Morgan Vice President of 32BJ SEIU and PA State Director:

“After two strikes, a referendum, and incredible support from faith, community and progressive elected officials, airport workers have finally won the 21st Century Minimum Wage,” said Gabe Morgan Vice President of 32BJ.

“The City and American Airlines have agreed to ensure that its contractors at PHL airport must comply with labor law,” said Gabe Morgan Vice President of 32BJ SEIU.

“This is a great first step for airport workers and we sincerely hope that contractors at the Philadelphia International Airport get the message: it’s time for change at PHL.”

With 145,000 members in eleven states and Washington, D.C., including 22,000 in Pennsylvania, 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
