32BJ SEIU on New Jersey’s Successful Budget Vote

The following statement can be attributed to Kevin Brown, New Jersey State Director of 32BJ SEIU:

“We commend the legislators who came to an agreement yesterday to protect working families in New Jersey. By voting to fully fund our public schools, transportation and property tax relief, they have shown that they stand for progress in the Garden State.

For eight years, New Jersey was ravaged by Chris Christie’s policies. This budget is just the start that we need to undo several years of damage and it puts us on a stronger footing for long into the future. We are glad we have a governor who continues to stand up for working families that keep our economy running and our communities strong.”
