NEWARK – Citing a strong commitment to working families and public education, 32BJ SEIU today announced its endorsed candidates in the East Orange City Council Race.
“We look forward to the election of a strong, progressive group of public servants who stand up for working families,” said New Jersey State Director Kevin Brown. “These candidates have demonstrated their commitment to responsible development and effective governance.”
The union has endorsed:
- Christopher James in the 1st Ward
- Romal Bullock in the 2nd Ward
- Councilman Ted Green in the 3rd Ward
- Tyshammie Cooper in the 4th Ward
- Councilwoman Alicia Holman in the 5th Ward
“I’m proud to support candidates who understand that working families are the heart of the community,” said Marcelo Narvaez, a 32BJ member and Essex County Club Political Lead. “East Orange deserves a city council that shares our values.”
