Talks Continue as Airport Workers Prepare for Possible Strike

Hundreds of airport workers and community supporters to rally at noon to demand a resolution from American Airlines' Contractors PrimeFlight and Prospect

Philadelphia-Contracted Philadelphia airport workers are holding off their strike another day as talks between American Airlines and the airport workers’ union, 32BJ SEIU, continue into Thursday.

Gabe Morgan, Vice President of 32BJ SEIU issued the following statement:

“The union and American Airlines are still in discussions but we remain ready to strike if talks break down.  We took a step back to let this process play out but refuse to let the workers’ path out of poverty become another broken promise. We urge the contractors and American Airlines to come to an agreement that gives the workers the fair contract that they deserve.”
